Top 7 Foods for Healing Leaky Gut

In this blog I'm going to share with you the top seven foods for healing leaky gut along with the healing leaky gut diet. Leaky gut syndrome is where you get something called intestinal permeability. That's where certain proteins like gluten start to leak through your intestinal wall, get in your
blood stream, and then cause systemic body wide inflammation. It can cause inflammation
of your thyroid causing Hashimoto's disease. It can cause inflammation of your large intestine
and cause inflammatory bowel disease. It can also cause inflammation causing food sensitivities
and different reactions in your body. By consuming these seven foods it can help you heal leaky
gut syndrome for good.

Let's start off here with the number one food, and that's bone broth. Bone broth has traditionally
been made by boiling or cooking the ligaments of chickens as well as the bones and also
bones from beef. What happens is certain amino acids and minerals come out into the liquid.
The most powerful amino acids are proline and glycine. We know proline is a precursor
to collagen. We know when your body stops producing collagen over time it's what causes
you to get wrinkles and your skin to get loose. It's a similar thing with your digestive tract.
We want that tight. We want those tight junctions tight in your gut. We don't want things like
gluten getting through. Proline and glycine, the amino acids in bone broth, help tighten
it up and can help repair the damaged gut lining.

Drinking bone broth every day is incredibly healthy for healing leaky gut syndrome. Also,
bone broth contains L-glutamine, another amino acid that really works as a Band-Aid for your
small intestine and colon and really helping protect those areas. Again, bone broth, number
one healing food for leaky gut. I recommend eight ounces two times a day. The best thing
to do is get a big Crock-Pot and make real bone broth soup and drink that several times
a day.

The second healing food for leaky gut syndrome is kefir or homemade yogurt. We know fermented
dairy is the most probiotic rich super food in the world today. If you can be getting
goat's milk kefir or homemade yogurt... Homemade yogurt should be fermented 24 to 29 hours.
We know it contains specific types of probiotics such as lactobacillus which have been shown
to crowd out bad bacteria such as different types of yeast and fungus and really help
increase the probiotics in the gut.

Listen, most people today have a severe probiotic deficiency. If you're going to heal leaky
gut, you have got to restore any probiotic deficiencies. Again, kefir, goat's milk kefir
and yogurt are the best. You can find those at your local health food store.
The third healing food for leaky gut syndrome are fermented vegetables such as sauerkraut,
kimchi, kvass, and coconut kefir as well. Different types of fermented vegetables, especially
sauerkraut, are greatly beneficial because it contains bacillus subtilis. Bacillus subtilis
is a soil based probiotic. It also contains lactobacillus plantarum probably in the largest
levels. These probiotics in a similar fashion crowd out bad bacteria.
Also, they're at a certain Ph. You know that really sour, tart taste when you're tasting
sauerkraut? Those are organic acids. Those acids really help feed and fuel probiotics
in the gut. It's not just about getting more probiotics. It's about creating an environment
where probiotics can flourish. Again, getting sauerkraut and kimchi and fermented vegetables
in your diet is a great way to establish that good bacteria in the gut.

The number four super food for healing leaky gut is coconut products, especially coconut
oil. Coconut oil has antimicrobial properties. It contains the fatty acids lauric acid, capric
acid, and caprylic acid. These are known as medium chain fats or medium chain triglycerides.
They kill off bad bacteria in the gut. They are very easy to digest. For that reason,
all other oils in your diet should really be replaced with coconut oil when it comes
to cooking. Again, coconut oil is great for healing leaky gut.

The number five super food that can help you heal leaky gut is going to be wild caught
fish, especially salmon. Salmon, mackerel, wild caught tuna, I'm going to emphasize wild
here, not farm raised. Wild caught fish is loaded with omega-3 fats which we know reduce
inflammation, which is critical when it comes to overcoming leaky gut syndrome. I recommend
wild caught salmon three times a week. Typically just baked in the oven is one of the best
ways to do it. We know salmon is loaded with omega-3 fatty acids, and other fish are good
as well, real tuna that's wild caught, and mackerel is great. Again, some fatty fish
is the easiest source of protein to digest as well as it's packed with those omega-
fatty acids.

The number six super food for healing leaky gut, and this actually is with a disclaimer,
it's not for everybody, is sprouted flax seeds. We know flax seeds are loaded with fiber.
Fiber, especially that soluble fiber found in flax, can help in growing good bacteria
in the gut. Again, sprouted flax seeds, not regular flax but sprouted flax that have been
soaked. Just one tablespoon a day is all you need. One tablespoon a day as part of a super
food smoothie with some collagen powder is great for leaky gut. If you have a very sensitive
digestive system, you may not be able to do the flax at first, but long term it's a great
sprouted seed for healing leaky gut.

Last but not least is steamed vegetables or vegetables made in the Crock-Pot. Broccoli,
cauliflower, celery, carrots, and squashes like butternut squash are great to do in the
Crock-Pot. They nourish the spleen. They nourish the colon, especially cauliflower cooked.
It's very good for your immune system. Again, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, squashes,
those vegetables either steamed or cooked in a Crock-Pot are another food for healing
leaky gut.

If you're ready to heal leaky gut syndrome for good, incorporate those seven super foods
on a daily basis, and eliminate all the other stuff. Eliminate grains. Eliminate processed
foods. Really stick to those seven only if you want to heal leaky gut.
